Public Mobile Tightens Plan Lineup, Promos Gone July 7
Telus-owned Public Mobile has continued to tweak its plan offerings and now it has finally trimmed down both 4G and 5G plans, while setting a specific end date to promo plans, according to changes made on its website on Thursday.
Previously, we told you a “limited time” label showed up, but now that has changed to July 7 as the end date for Canada-US-Mexico promo pricing.
Here are current 4G plans on Public Mobile as of July 3, 2025:
As you can see, only two 4G plans remain and gone are the $22/3GB and $29/20GB plans. The $25 plan also loses 1GB of data.
Here are the current 5G Canada-US-Mexico plans—all pricing you see below ends on July 7:
- $34/10GB + 250 international minutes
- $34/60GB + 500 international minutes (Canada-wide)
- $36/60GB + 1000 international minutes
- $46/80GB +2000 international minutes
Public Mobile has axed the $32/20GB Canada-wide and $56/100GB Canada-US-Mexico plans.
Here are plans from Lucky Mobile (Bell) in comparison after autopay:
- $19/500MB
- $25/3.5GB
- $29/15GB (ends July 7)
- $34/70GB (ends July 7)
- $45/80GB
- $55/100GB
And here are plans from Rogers-owned Chatr after autopay:
- $25/3.5GB
- $29/15GB
- $34/70GB
- $45/90GB
- $149/year for 30GB
Again, the best time to get a cell phone plan deal is around Black Friday, which isn’t until this fall.
