Nintendo Indie World Announced for August 7, Here’s How to Watch

Nintendo has announced a 15-minute ‘Indie World’ live stream for August 7. The event is promised to be dedicated to “new announcements and updates” on upcoming indies.
Announced via X (formerly Twitter), Nintendo revealed that the upcoming Indie World will be “roughly 15 minutes” in length and expand on new indies coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and the original Nintendo Switch hardware. The Indie World live stream begins on August 7th at 9 AM ET/6 AM PT.
Unfortunately, Nintendo hasn’t revealed which games may be shown or which partnering indie studios may be appearing. However, there are numerous possible titles that may pop up. Anticipated indie games include Hades 2 from Supergiant Games and Hollow Knight: Silksong from Team Cherry.
Last month, Nintendo held a Partner Showcase, where games like Octopath Traveler 0 and The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales were both announced.

In other relevant Nintendo news, the Nintendo Switch 2 has reached 5.82 million units sold in only 7 weeks on the market. The company reported a substantial increase in revenue during the quarter lasting between April and June 2025, partially thanks to the launch of the new system.
All of this is to say that Nintendo’s momentum will be propelled by continual software flocking to Nintendo Switch 2. While games like Donkey Kong Bananza will continue to drive adoption, indie games will also help bolster the growing library.
