Google has unveiled its 10th generation of smartphones (well, it’s not really a surprise given the leaks leading up to today): the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL. The devices come with Google’s new Tensor G5 processor, a refreshed design, and upgraded hardware across the board. If you missed out on the Pixel 10 Fold announcement, check it out here.
All three phones keep Google’s signature camera bar but now include Pixelsnap, which adds built-in Qi2 wireless charging and support for new magnetic accessories. They’re also made with more recycled materials than previous models.
The Pixel 10 features a 6.3-inch Actua display with peak brightness of 3000 nits, a satin-finish aluminum frame, and a polished glass back. It comes in four colors: Obsidian, Frost, Indigo, and Lemongrass.
The Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL have larger, brighter Super Actua displays at 6.3 inches and 6.8 inches, respectively, and are available in Obsidian, Porcelain, Moonstone, and Jade.
Pixel 10: Now includes a 5x telephoto lens, with fast autofocus, 10x optical quality zoom, and up to 20x zoom using Super Res Zoom.
Pixel 10 Pro & Pro XL: Feature a triple-camera system with Pro Res Zoom, allowing up to 100x zoom. Pro Res Zoom uses AI to restore fine details, making it Google’s most advanced camera system yet.
The phones also introduce Camera Coach, an AI-powered guide that gives real-time tips for framing and composition, which is by far the coolest feature right now.
The new Tensor G5 chip powers the lineup, built in collaboration with Google DeepMind. It improves speed and enables on-device generative AI features, including Google’s newest Gemini Nano model.
The Pro models pack 16 GB of RAM, larger batteries, upgraded speakers, faster wired charging, and support for 25W Qi2.2 wireless charging (Pro XL).
A new feature called Magic Cue integrates into apps like Google Messages and Phone. It can automatically surface useful information, such as pulling flight details from email during a call to an airline. Google says all processing happens on-device for privacy.

Preorders open today, with devices hitting shelves on August 28 through the Google Store and retail partners. Deliveries are showing as available by the first week of September. Buyers of the Pro models will also get a year of Google AI Pro included.
