Google just dropped details on the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, their latest foldable, ahead of its Made by Google event set for 10am PT/1pm ET.
The Pixel 10 Fold has a new gearless hinge that’s twice as tough as the previous Pixel 9 Fold and comes with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, a first for foldables it says. The phone’s made of aerospace-grade aluminum in Moonstone and Jade colours, with a redesigned 8-inch inner Super Actua Flex Display and a 6.4-inch outer display, both hitting 3000 nits for clear visuals indoors or out. The inner screen’s got ultra-thin glass and two layers of anti-impact film, built to handle over 10 years of folding. It looks pretty darn good.
It’s powered by the Tensor G5 chip, bringing solid performance and new AI tools like Gemini Live, Magic Cue, Daily Hub, Add Me, Best Take, and Camera Coach. The camera setup’s been upgraded with a 48MP main lens in a triple rear system, offering Macro Focus, 20x Super Res Zoom, and Rear Camera Selfie.
A new Instant View feature lets you preview shots when the phone’s unfolded. Other foldable camera tricks include Made You Look, Dual Screen Preview, and Tabletop Mode.
The battery’s the biggest yet for a Google foldable, lasting over 30 hours, with faster wired charging (50% in 30 minutes) and Qi2 wireless charging via Pixelsnap magnetic tech.
You can snap on a Pixelsnap Charger with Stand or use a Pixelsnap Ring Stand for hands-free viewing. The large inner screen supports Split Screen for multitasking with adjustable app sizes and Drag and Drop for moving files. Apps like Asphalt Legends and Disney Speedstorm work with game controller functionality on the outer display, and Netflix and Disney+ are optimized for streaming.
