Instagram Creators Can Now Link Multiple Reels Together Into a Series

Instagram has begun to roll out a new feature which allows creators to link multiple reels together to form a series. The new feature is accessible to creators now.

Moving forward, a creator can publish an Instagram Reel and then second as part of the same series or as a follow-up to the original. By linking these reels together, their audiences won’t have to scroll through the creator’s feed or search for more videos.

A similar feature has been available on TikTok for quite some time. In this case, the creator can seamlessly link to a Part 2 or an update on an original video to help audiences find it better. This method is far preferable to asking audiences to come back for a follow-up, which some creators have had to do in the past.

Creators can begin to link reels together easily by tapping the ‘Overflow’ menu on previously shared reels. This also allows creators to better organize their related reels together to viewers can watch seamlessly without endlessly scrolling. Linked reels can also be given a title to help.

It’s assumed that the Instagram audience has been wanting this feature to become available for quite some time. The ability to make reels link from one to the other helps craft overarching storytelling for creators and simplifies the viewing experience for those watching the content.

Although it may not be a revolutionary addition to Instagram’s tool set, it’s a welcome one nonetheless.
