TD Canada iPhone App Users Hit With Cheque Deposit Error

The TD Canada iPhone app appears to be broken when it comes to mobile cheque deposits at the moment.
According to iPhone in Canada readers, the latest version of the TD Canada app, 25.08, won’t let you make a mobile cheque deposit. Once you try to launch the camera in the app to snap a picture, the error message “full screen is required” takes over your iPhone display. You can’t exit the app once this happens and you need to force close the app.
Version 25.08 says it allows customers to “explore all the benefits of your TD Credit Card and pay off eligible purchases with your TD Rewards Points and Cash Back Dollars in the Rewards tab.”
Even deleting and reinstalling the TD Canada iPhone app doesn’t fix this bug. There’s just no way to take a picture of your cheque due to this app error. Even with rotate lock on and off, that still doesn’t solve the issue.
Here’s what the error looks like (the issue happens whether you tap the camera button for the front or back of your cheque):

According to iPhone in Canada reader James, the TD Canada app was working fine for cheque deposits in July. The latest August 19th app update seems to be the culprit.
So what does this mean? If you can’t make a mobile cheque deposit, then that means you’ll need to head to a TD ATM or branch to do so. That can be problematic if you don’t have a TD branch near you, or you have limited mobility.
Are you able to make mobile cheque deposits with the TD Canada app right now?
