Apple ‘Crossbody Strap’ for iPhone 17 Leaked Ahead of Event

Apple appears to be preparing to launch an all-new accessory made for the iPhone 17 series. Samples of a crossbody strap have supposedly surfaced ahead of the company’s ‘Awe Dropping’ event this week.
Over on X (formerly Twitter), images of a stark orange crossbody strap have been shared. It seems as though the accessory is being designed to be compatible with Apple’s TechWoven cases for iPhone 17.
Leaker Sonny Dickson shared images showing that the strap features a metal core and utilizes magnetic attachments. With this in mind, users will likely be able to attach their iPhone 17 and disconnect it without too much fuss when walking around.
Apple’s upcoming TechWoven line will reportedly replace the divisive FineWoven cases. The new cases are considered tougher, providing better grip, and are made of synthetic fabric. With this in mind, the TechWoven cases are believed to have small holes built into their design to accommodate accessories, such as looping the crossbody strap through them.
Apple, on occasion, has released wearable accessories for its products in the past. Most notably, AirPods Pro 2 supported a lanyard accessory for its charging case.
Apple’s Awe Dropping event is being held on September 9 at 10 AM PT/1 PM ET. Here, the iPhone 17 series will be officially revealed alongside new accessories and other devices. It’s yet to be determined how much the crossbody accessory may cost in Canada upon launch.
