Xbox to Attend Tokyo Game Show, Showcasing ROG Xbox Ally

Xbox has confirmed its plans to return to the Tokyo Game Show. Later this month, the company will host a broadcast from the convention, outlining “feature titles” from Xbox’s studios and partners in Japan, Asia, and other global markets.
In an Xbox Wire post, the company discussed their plans at Tokyo Game Show, which begins on Thursday, September 25 and runs until Sunday, September 28th. “We know players around the world delight in Japan-inspired content and games developed in Asia, and we can’t wait to connect with players across the globe to show off the incredible talent and creativity behind upcoming games coming to Xbox,” the company wrote.
A live-streamed broadcast will be held on Thursday, September 25, at 6 AM ET/3 AM PT. Xbox doesn’t go into many specifics regarding what’ll be shown during the live stream. Given that it’s for Tokyo Game Show, it’ll likely not be treated as a big event like its Xbox Game Showcase. While it’s likely that a few games and updates will be announced, the broadcast will likely be designed to highlight upcoming titles from Japanese developers and other partners.
In addition, Xbox will be on the Tokyo Game Show room floor. As confirmed by the company, this will be the first time in Asia that the public will be able to play Ninja Gaiden 4 ahead of its October 21 release date.
The company also confirms that the upcoming ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X gaming handhelds will be playable. Developed by Xbox and Asus in partnership, the ROG Xbox Ally handhelds are developed on the backbone of Asus’ ROG Ally devices but integrate Xbox iconography as well as a curated Xbox UI for users to navigate through. The device will make its way to Canada and other markets on October 16, 2025.
Finally, Bethesda is co-hosting a merchandise booth with Infolens Geek Shop. Attendees will be able to scoop up official merchandise for Fallout, Starfield, Doom, and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
