For the new iPhone Air, fixing a cracked screen costs $429, while back glass alone is $219. If both the screen and back glass are damaged, the repair runs $549. Other common fixes include $165 for a battery replacement, $219 for the rear camera, and $919 for “other” damage.
On the regular iPhone 17, a cracked screen now costs $429, a $64 price increase on the iPhone 16, while back glass repairs stay at $219. Combined screen and back glass damage is now $549, an increase of $30. Battery replacements are $135, rear camera fixes are $219, and other damage is priced at $779.
The iPhone 17 Pro holds steady at $429 for a screen repair and $219 for back glass. Combined screen and back glass damage is $549, slightly down $20 from last year. Batteries are $165, rear cameras cost $339 (up $1 vs iPhone 16), and other repairs are listed at $1,029.
For the larger iPhone 17 Pro Max, a cracked screen costs $499, with back glass repairs now $249, up from $219 previously. Fixing both together is $619, down $40 from last time. Battery and rear camera repairs are $165 and $339, respectively, while other damage will cost $1,099.
Overall, Apple has nudged up the cost of some repairs, such as cracked screens on the base iPhone 17 and back glass on the Pro Max, while trimming prices in other areas like combined damage on the Pro models. If you want the lowest repair price, then you’ll need to jump on AppleCare+ within 60 days of your iPhone purchase.
