ecoATM Launches Phone Recycling Kiosks in Canada, Now at Walmart

Canadians can now trade in old phones for instant cash through new self-serve kiosks launched by U.S.-based recycling company ecoATM. The first 13 kiosks are now available inside select Walmart stores in the Greater Toronto Area, including Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville, and Burlington, with more locations planned.
The kiosks automatically test devices, check ID, and provide a cash offer within minutes. ecoATM says the goal is to give people an easier way to recycle smartphones while keeping e-waste out of landfills.
Canada produces nearly one million tonnes of e-waste each year, a number expected to rise to 1.2 million tonnes by 2030. Until now, recycling options have been limited compared to the United States, where ecoATM already operates more than 6,500 kiosks and has collected over 50 million devices.
“ecoATM offers a more flexible and accessible alternative to carrier trade-ins,” Neil Fried of ecoATM told iPhone in Canada. “Our goal is to ensure that the process of turning in your old phone for instant cash is as hassle-free as possible. It’s a technology-friendly way to get rewarded while contributing to a more circular economy.”
The company aims to recycle 7.5 million devices across North America this year.

If it is a nonworking device, it’s not a bad option. But otherwise whatever they offer you is a rip off.
and if it wasn't, the trade-in values would be given.
