Google Discover Now Pulls In Instagram, X, and YouTube Shorts

Google is expanding its Discover feed inside the Google app to include more types of content and new personalization tools.
In the coming weeks, Discover will start showing posts from social platforms like X, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts, alongside news articles and videos from publishers. Google says more platforms will be added over time. Below is example of what you will soon see on Discover:
Users will also be able to follow specific publishers and creators directly within Discover. By tapping a name, people can preview a feed of articles, videos, and social posts before deciding to follow.
The update builds on earlier changes to Google Search, which allowed users to select preferred news sources in the Top Stories section.
The company says the changes are meant to make it easier to keep up with creators and publishers across multiple platforms in one place. If you don’t care about these creators then this might be something you won’t be looking forward to.
