First Trailer for ‘Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu’ Unveiled

Walt Disney Studios today has announced the first trailer for the upcoming film, Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, is finally here.

Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu is an all-new Star Wars adventure opening exclusively in theatres on May 22, 2026.

The synopsis of the movie is as follows: the Empire has collapsed, leaving its warlords scattered across the galaxy. The New Republic is trying to hold onto the hard-won freedom earned by the Rebellion, and this time they’re calling on Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal is back), the Mandalorian bounty hunter, and his apprentice Grogu.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, is directed by Jon Favreau and features Sigourney Weaver. Producers include Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce, with music by Ludwig Göransson.

The Mandalorian TV show first debuted on Disney+ back in November 2019 and takes place about five years after Return of the Jedi.

If you don’t want to shell out bucks to see this in theatres, it will likely hit streaming on Disney+ Canada after its theatrical run.
