Apple Ginza to Reopen September 26 in Tokyo,

Apple has announced its plans to reopen Apple Ginza on Friday, September 26, in Tokyo. Located in the Ginza district, the location will reopen after first debuting in the district more than two decades ago.
Apple Ginza is a four-story location, where customers can come in and see the full array of new devices, including the iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. As the Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3, Apple Watch SE 3, and AirPods Pro 3 have also recently launched, customers can see the new devices, ask questions to staff members and find the perfect option for them.
Celebrating the grand reopening, a special-edition Apple Gift Card is available only at this store for a limited time.
Apple Ginza is powered by 100 percent renewable energy. The store’s layout is said to combine “sustainability with a distinctly modern design.” It features regionally sourced materials and a double-skin glass façade with adaptive louvres to regulate light and temperature. Plus, customers can take advantage of the balcony-like spaces overlooking the vibrant streets of Ginza.
The company has also announced a collaboration with Japanese supergroup Number_i. Apple Ginza will launch a special Today at Apple Spotlight session with the group. A press release states that the session explores Spatial Audio and video through their new single, U.M.A. The session first debuts at Apple Ginza before expanding to other retail locations in Japan on October 11th. Fans can also book one-on-one demos of Apple Vision Pro and get an immersive behind-the-scenes look at the music video.
“We’re so excited to reopen Apple Ginza in its original location, with a magical new experience for our customers,” said Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail and People. “We’re thrilled to welcome everyone back to this iconic store with an all-new design and incredible local programming, where they can experience the very best of Apple’s products and services.”
Apple Ginza first opened in 2003 and was Apple’s first store outside of the US. The original location featured a 27-foot-long Genius Bar and a theatre.
