Pokémon TCG Pocket Launches Limited Edition Deluxe Pack Ex
The Pokémon Company has announced that ‘Deluxe Pack ex,’ a special booster pack for its Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket app, will launch for a limited time beginning September 29, 2025, and remain available through October 29, 2025.

This unique set gives players another window to collect past Pokémon ex cards from earlier expansions, now reissued with fresh artwork and guaranteed high-rarity pulls.
Deluxe Pack ex covers cards released in expansions ranging from Genetic Apex through Wisdom of Sea and Sky, effectively spanning the period since TCG Pocket’s launch. Every booster in this pack contains four cards, and one card is guaranteed to be of 4 Diamond rarity or greater.
In addition to reprints, a subset of cards will appear in parallel foil or entirely new illustrations to refresh their look for collectors.
Unlike prior expansions, Deluxe Pack ex is not a permanent addition but a limited-time event. The Pokémon Company confirmed the booster will return in future cycles, though no schedule was shared. This marks a shift in strategy for the digital TCG, giving players periodic access to older content in a curated, premium format.
In tandem with the pack release, TCG Pocket will host a series of in-app events throughout October. Among them is a Raichu ex Drop Event (October 5 to 15 PDT), allowing players to earn promo packs from the A Series Vol. 13 collection via solo battles. A Bonus Week (October 11 to 18) will offer missions awarding pack hourglasses and other rewards.
A Wonder Pick Event (October 12 to 22) will introduce promo cards such as Shaymin and Absol alongside missions for event tickets. Finally, a Parallel Foil Cards Mass Outbreak Event (October 22 to 28) will integrate foil cards into rare and bonus picks with accompanying ticket-earning missions.

Some of the reprinted cards confirmed so far include Pikachu ex, Arceus ex, Buzzwole ex, Solgaleo ex, Gardevoir, Greninja, and Professor’s Research. The trailer preview also hints at classic fan favorites such as Charizard ex, Articuno ex, Eevee ex, Giratina ex, Ho-Oh ex, and Exeggutor ex.
One notable aspect of Deluxe Pack ex is the guarantee of a high-rarity pull in each pack, which contrasts with the usual uncertainty of booster pulls and should appeal to both collectors and competitive players.
