Logitech has introduced the MX Master 4, the newest version of its high-end wireless mouse built for productivity and creative workflows. The main upgrade is haptic feedback, which gives users a tactile response when using certain shortcuts, gestures, and app features.
A new Actions Ring system lets users trigger tools, filters, or desktop controls directly at the cursor, aiming to reduce the amount of menu navigation needed during work.
The MagSpeed scroll wheel returns, capable of scrolling through 1,000 lines per second, switching automatically between precise ratchet mode and hyper-fast free spin. Logitech has also upgraded tracking with an 8,000 DPI Darkfield sensor that works on nearly any surface, including glass, offering five times more accuracy than a standard mouse sensor.
Wireless performance has been improved with a new radio chip, revised antenna placement, and a next-generation USB-C dongle. Logitech claims this doubles connectivity strength compared to the MX Master 3S. The design has also been refined, with a tilt angle aimed at reducing strain and repositioned buttons that sit more naturally under the thumb.
Clicking is quieter than before, with Logitech stating a 90 percent reduction in click noise compared to the MX Master 3. The mouse is designed for long sessions, promising comfort over extended use, and it continues to support horizontal scrolling with a thumb wheel.
The MX Master 4 integrates with the Logi Options+ software, enabling customization of button assignments, app-specific profiles, and automation of repetitive tasks through Smart Actions. It also supports Flow, allowing users to move files, copy and paste content, and control up to three devices across different operating systems, including Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS, iPadOS, and Android.
Battery life is rated for up to 70 days on a full charge. USB-C fast charging adds about three hours of use from a one-minute charge, meaning the mouse can stay in service almost constantly without downtime.
