M5 iPad Pro Unboxing Leaked Ahead of Launch [VIDEO]
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has flagged a leaked unboxing video of Apple’s upcoming M5 iPad Pro well ahead of the device’s official announcement, noting that it “looks the same” as the existing iPad Pro models.

The video, published by Russian tech channel Wylsacom, shows the tablet in striking detail performing setup and benchmark tests.
The retail-ready iPad Pro unboxing video clearly shows the device labeled as the “iPad Pro (M5)” in Russian. It arrives in a box nearly identical to prior models, and the tablet itself features the same slim body, minimal bezel design, and a single rear camera.
During setup the device displays system information confirming the M5 chipset. Apple’s “iPad Pro” branding appears to be missing from the back of the tablet, a subtle cosmetic change. The software version visible in the leak is iPadOS 26.0. Internally, the leak hints at a shift in memory capacity. The particular unit shown is a 256 GB model and seems to come with 12 GB of RAM.
Benchmark results shown in the video suggest that the M5 iPad Pro delivers a moderate leap in performance over its predecessor. In Geekbench 6 testing, the device scores in the range of 4,133 single-core and 15,437 multi-core, compared with 3,718 / 13,324 for the M4 iPad Pro units used as a comparison.
Graphics performance shows a more dramatic gain, with a 38 % boost in Metal GPU scores. These performance gains align with earlier rumors that Apple would focus this generation on chip improvements rather than radical design changes.
Aside from the back cover branding, the external design of the M5 iPad Pro shown in the leak is virtually indistinguishable from the current model. There is no evidence of new materials, a radically altered camera system, or major physical redesigns. Because of this, accessories such as the Magic Keyboard, cases, and docks should remain fully compatible.
The leak also shows familiar ports, buttons, and sensor placements, further supporting the view that this update is evolutionary rather than revolutionary.
