Toronto-based fintech Wealthsimple is giving Canadians a shot at winning a fully furnished home worth $1.1 million in Prince Edward County, Ontario—plus $100,000 in cash to help with the costs of homeownership.

The contest runs from October 3 to October 30, 2025, and is open to new and existing Wealthsimple clients across Canada, including Quebec. To get started, you just need to fill out a short Homeownership Survey, which gives you 5,000 entries right away. From there, you can rack up even more entries by:

  • Depositing or transferring money into your Wealthsimple account (1 entry per $1).
  • Referring friends (5,000 entries for each friend who signs up).

Not interested in moving money? You can still enter by mailing in a 100-word essay called “My Home Buying Strategy” after opening a free Wealthsimple account.

The grand prize home is a new Scandinavian-inspired build with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a sauna, cold plunge, and even Starlink WiFi. It comes fully furnished, with radiant-heated floors, hickory wood upstairs, and a backyard deck designed for sunsets and firepit nights. The property sits on a quiet lot near wineries, beaches, and trails in Prince Edward County.

If you win, the home is yours to keep, rent, or sell. Similar properties in the area can fetch around $3,250 per month as a rental. Wealthsimple will cover all legal and closing fees, though you’ll be responsible for ongoing expenses like property taxes.
The winner will be chosen on January 7, 2026. To keep your entries valid, deposits and transfers need to remain in your account until at least January 5.

Entering is free, and the process is simple: download the Wealthsimple app (get $25 free here) , complete the survey, and start earning entries. For those looking to grow their investments while taking a shot at homeownership, this is one of the biggest giveaways in Canada right now.
