Tesla 2025.38 Update Brings New Apple Music Experience and More

Tesla’s upcoming 2025.38 software update rolling out as of today will bring a cleaner Apple Music interface inside the car (via Tesla North).

So what’s new? With the 2025.35 update, users will see their Apple Music playlists organized into folders. Also, artist pages will show more detail, and a “Recently Played” section will display a bigger chunk of your listening history. The update is part of a batch of tweaks focused on media, navigation, and usability. Coming are 3D buildings and cityscapes, which will be pretty awesome, while the mobile dashcam viewer will soon let you stream in higher resolution, along with downloads from the Tesla app.

Tesla’s Model 3 switched to AMD Ryzen chips starting in late 2021, with most vehicles built around December 2021 or later including the new processor. The Model Y followed the same timeline, also transitioning to AMD Ryzen in late 2021. Meanwhile, all refreshed Model S and Model X “Plaid” versions released in 2021 and onward already came equipped with AMD Ryzen chips.

Below are the full 2025.38 Tesla software update release notes:

3D Buildings (only for cars with AMD Ryzen chips)
You can now see buildings and cityscapes in more detail with 3D view.
To enable: switch to Map View and tap the 3D icon.
Requires Premium Connectivity.
