Rogers Fires Up 5G in Stroud—Finally, Faster Service Arrives

A new Rogers cell tower is now live in Stroud, Ontario, bringing faster and more reliable 5G service to local residents, businesses, and emergency crews. Stroud is about 17-19 minutes south of Barrie by car, and has a population of about 2,200 or so.

The project was a joint effort between InnTerprises Inc., the Town of Innisfil, and Rogers, aimed at improving mobile coverage across the region.

“This project represents a meaningful step forward for Stroud and neighbouring communities by delivering critical infrastructure that enhances emergency response, supports local businesses, and ensures residents and visitors alike have access to fast, reliable cellular and internet service,” said Danny Persaud, president and CEO of InnTerprises Corporation.

Mayor Lynn Dollin said the new tower shows how partnerships can help close connectivity gaps. “Reliable connectivity is vital for residents, businesses, and emergency services, and this is an important step toward ensuring everyone in Stroud and across Innisfil benefits,” she said.

The new 5G tower is expected to strengthen wireless coverage for homes, schools, and first responders, marking a pretty big upgrade to Stroud’s digital infrastructure.

That area was a deadline. Stopped in at the Tim Horton's there a few times and neither Rogers or Telus was much good.
