Game 7 of the American League Championship Series between the Toronto Blue Jays and Seattle Mariners on Monday drew record-breaking viewership across Sportsnet and Sportsnet+, averaging 6 million viewers nationwide—the most-watched baseball broadcast in Canadian history.

The audience peaked at 8.3 million around 11 p.m. ET when pitcher Jeff Hoffman struck out Julio Rodríguez to send Toronto to the World Series. The previous record was set in 2015, when Game 6 of the ALCS averaged 5.1 million viewers.

Sportsnet’s pregame show attracted an average of 1.9 million viewers, while 2.8 million stayed tuned for the postgame coverage as Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was named series MVP.

Across the full ALCS, Sportsnet says an average of 4.4 million Canadians watched each game, with 15.9 million tuning in at some point during the series.

Game 1 of the World Series, with the Blue Jays taking on the Los Angeles Dodgers, begins Friday, October 24, with Blue Jays Central starting at 6:30 p.m. ET / 3:30 p.m. PT on Sportsnet. Both the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors changed their schedule to accommodate Game 1 of the World Series. Go Jays!
