OpenTable Just Made Dining Out More Rewarding—Here’s What’s New

OpenTable has rolled out a redesigned loyalty program called OpenTable Regulars, giving diners new ways to earn and redeem rewards while encouraging repeat visits for restaurants.

The free program lets users earn 100 points per completed reservation made through OpenTable, with some bookings offering up to 1,000 points. Diners in select countries can use points toward prepaid dining experiences like prix-fixe menus or wine tastings, or redeem them for Amazon gift cards in markets including Canada, the U.S., and the U.K.

“Restaurants depend on loyal, high-value guests, and our enhanced loyalty program is designed to deliver just that,” said Robin Chiang, Chief Growth Officer at OpenTable, in a statement to iPhone in Canada on Monday. “This program is a big win for diners, too, who will benefit from even more ways to redeem points and get access to perks from OpenTable’s network of restaurants and strategic partners. We will be adding more benefits over the coming year. The program is seamless to sign up for, and it’s completely free.”

OpenTable is also adding a new Gold status tier for frequent diners who complete at least six reservations in a year. Gold members will get early access to last-minute restaurant openings and, in some regions, a 6-month free Uber One membership.
