PlayStation Canada and OpenTable Partner for Ghost of Yotei Dinner Experience at Miku Restaurant in Toronto

PlayStation Canada is partnering with OpenTable to offer a four-course dining experience inspired by Ghost of Yotei in Toronto.
Booked through OpenTable, the Ghost of Yotei Tasting Menu is available at Miku Restaurant (10 Bay Street). The experience is curated by Chef Kazuki Uchigoshi, who was inspired by the game and his passion for video games. Available from October 6th through to October 26th, fans of Ghost of Yotei or anyone who wants a curated menu from one of Toronto’s Michelin Star restaurants can book a slot at Miku Restaurant.
For $98, customers can sit down and experience a four-course tasting menu inspired by Ghost of Yotei. Many items on the menu take elements from the game’s location of Hokkaido. “Experience a journey of creative flavours and traditional sushi-making techniques coupled with the finest seasonal ingredients,” the OpenTable listing states.
PlayStation Canada invited iPhone in Canada to experience the menu behind close doors. The Ghost of Yotei Tasting Menu starts with a salmon bamboo leaf sushi with sisho and pickled vegetables. One of the most astounding plates from the menu is ‘The Fires of Yotei’, with lamb and Hokkaido wagyu, paired with maitake mushroom, bean sprout and a black garlic soy sauce.

The star of the experience is the ‘Atsu and The Yotei 6’ plate, which features a seven-piece collection of aburi-style sushi. Even for someone who doesn’t typically enjoy uni or squid, this was an impressive culinary dish.
The menu is then rounded out by a delicious Tahitian vanilla cheesecake with Hokkaido pumpkin Espuma, walnut toffee and Hokkaido Miso caramel ice cream. It was beautiful to look at, as it was delicious.
In addition to the four-course menu tasting, Miku Restaurant has also put together a Ghost of Yotei-inspired cocktail named ‘Hamaki’, featuring house-made Hojicha liqueur, house-made spiced rum, Luxardo del santo and a bourbon-soaked cherry.
After having played through Ghost of Yotei myself, this was a wonderful experience that complemented my time with Sucker Punch’s latest game. The menu was innovative and well-rounded. It’s an easy recommendation for this month.
Players and foodies will surely get a kick out of this experience, while available throughout the month. If you’re in the Toronto area, certainly consider the Ghost of Yotei Tasting Menu at Miku Restaurant.
