WhatsApp on Apple Watch Is Real — Here’s the First Look
WhatsApp has officially launched its first app for the Apple Watch, available through the latest iOS beta version 25.32.10.71 via TestFlight. This means it’s only for beta testers right now.
The rollout marks the messaging platform’s long-awaited expansion to Apple Watch, reports WABetaInfo, though the initial version still depends on an iPhone connection to function.
The WhatsApp Apple Watch app lets you read and reply messages that’s much improved from your wrist. You can reply with text, reactions, voice dictation and emojis. Integration with watchOS means fast access to chats, pinned chats and disappearing messages.
The app lets you browse your recent chats, send new messages or voice notes right from Apple Watch. You still need to have your iPhone near you to use WhatsApp for Apple Watch.
WhatsApp finally came to the iPad in May, and now we’re going to get a dedicated Apple Watch app (all before GTA 6).
