Facebook Marketplace Just Got a Massive Makeover—And It’s Actually Useful

Facebook is rolling out a series of updates to Marketplace, adding new social features and AI tools aimed at making shopping easier and more collaborative, specifically for home decor, fashion, and cars.

The platform is introducing collections, letting people group listings and share them with friends (via Feed, Messenger, WhatsApp and more), and is testing collaborative buying, which allows buyers to bring a friend into a chat with a seller to help with questions or price negotiations.

Users can now react and comment directly on listings, giving more visibility into item quality and helping personalize recommendations. Meta is also testing even more AI-powered suggested questions in chats, along with new vehicle insights that surface details like safety ratings, reviews, and pricing information directly on car listings.

Marketplace is expanding its inventory too, with integrated listings from eBay and Poshmark, and is improving its shipping and checkout experience by showing full costs upfront and adding clearer order updates. More changes are planned for 2026 as Facebook continues updating the buying and selling platform.

According to Meta, every day, 1 out of 4 Facebook young adult daily active users in Canada and the U.S. use Marketplace. Just remember to not meet up in dark wet alleys when selling your warez on Marketplace.
