Netflix is ushering in a new era for its gaming initiative. The streaming service is launching a catalogue of games on TVs worldwide.
As part of its ongoing commitment within the gaming sector, Netflix is launching “a stack of new titles” on TVs. This includes Dead Man’s Party: A Knives Out Game, a classic murder mystery party game. Additionally, LEGO Party!, Boggle Party, Party Crashers, Pictionary: Game Night, and Tetris Time Warp are also being made available.
Netflix subscribers can access these games straight from their TV, within the streamer’s app. There’s no additional setup needed as players will utilize their phone as the controller. “You can now go from watching KPop Demon Hunters to playing Pictionary: Game Night without ever leaving Netflix,” Alain Tascan, President of Games at Netflix, explains in a press release.
Most of the titles made available are designed to be party games. While having friends and family together in one room, players can queue up a game, and everyone can join in with their respective mobile phones.
Turning our attention to mobile, Netflix has made the exciting announcement that Red Dead Redemption will be making its way to mobile. “Explore the Dead West, yank a few bandits off their horses with your lasso, leave ’em on train tracks, and take in a sunset or two in this masterpiece,” the company says.
Finally, the new Puzzled app is also launching on mobile, offering eight daily puzzle games with some inspired by Netflix titles like Emily in Paris, Stranger Things, and KPop Demon Hunters.
