Uber One Members Get Family Sharing, Premium Upgrades
Uber is introducing a fresh wave of membership perks for its Uber One program as the holiday season approaches, giving Canadians more ways to save money and enjoy added comfort during one of the busiest times of the year.

The company says the aim is to strengthen Uber One as an all in one service for everyday value, convenient travel and rewarding experiences, especially as millions of people prepare for holiday gatherings, shopping and winter travel.
One of the most notable additions is the ability for members to share their benefits with family at no extra cost. Beginning today, users can add another adult to their plan along with an unlimited number of teens.
The additional adult will receive the full suite of membership advantages, which include zero delivery fees on eligible orders and the opportunity to earn Uber One credits on their own rides. Uber explains that enrolling a family member is simple and can be done directly through the account settings in the app.
Another feature arriving this season is complimentary ride upgrades. Uber One members will now receive priority access to more premium vehicles whenever they are available. This means rides could shift from a standard option to a more spacious or comfortable category without any added charge.
Uber says that from December 2 to December 31, more than one million rides across North America will automatically receive these surprise upgrades, giving members a chance to travel with more style and comfort during the busiest month of the year. Riders will be notified each time an upgrade occurs so they know exactly when they have been moved into a more premium car.

Members will receive exclusive access to holiday savings across Uber and Uber Eats, with discounts on popular retailers and digital gift cards. For the shopping period surrounding Black Friday, members can enjoy early access to a 30% discount on qualifying orders from Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix along with zero delivery fees.
Uber is also offering a 15% discount on its own gift cards, giving users a way to send convenient and practical presents to family and friends.
