1Password Brings Autofill to ChatGPT’s Atlas Browser

1Password is adding official support for OpenAI’s new AI-powered Atlas browser (which debuted in October), making it easier for users to manage logins and autofill credentials inside the app from day one.

The password manager’s browser extension now works on Atlas, and 1Password says setup is simple: users can install the extension, authenticate through Touch ID, and connect to the desktop app without extra configuration.

Once it’s running, passwords stay synced, autofill works on any site Atlas visits, and the app stays unlocked even after restarting the browser.

1Password notes that Atlas introduces new workflows as AI-driven browsers become more common, and the company says its tools are meant to keep logins secure while people use AI for tasks like researching, shopping, and planning.

The company also says user data remains private and isn’t used to train AI models. Atlas users can install the 1Password extension directly through the browser starting today.
