Virgin Plus Just Bumped Up Data for this Black Friday Plan
We’ve entered the Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend folks. Wireless carriers will continue to tweak plans this weekend in an attempt to lure new customers.
Bell’s Virgin Plus has quietly updated its Black Friday offerings by bumping up data for one plan to 50GB:
- $40/50GB (was 40GB)
- $45/60GB + 10GB bonus data
- $30 talk and text; $19/250MB; $39/3GB
This change puts the entry plan in line with what is available from Fido.
Here are Fido’s Black Friday plans as of November 29: (ends Dec. 1)
- $40/50GB + $0 hotspot promo
- $45/20GB + $0 hotspot promo
- $45/70GB + $0 hotspot promo
- $30 talk and text
…and Koodo’s
- $40/60GB Canada-US-Mexico
- $40/50GB
- $45/70GB
- $75/100GB
- $20 starter plan (was $30); $15/250MB; $35/3GB
Right now, Koodo is in the lead amongst flanker brands with its $40/60GB Canada-US-Mexico plan that debuted on Friday. That’s the first US and Mexico roaming plan from Koodo we’ve seen. Will Fido and Virgin Plus match Koodo?
Telus-owned Public Mobile has a $45/100GB Canada-US-Mexico plan with 2,000 long distance minutes right now. That’s better than what flanker brands are offering. But Freedom Mobile’s $39/70GB Canada-US-Mexico is better as it supports international roaming.
