ChatGPT May Soon Sync With Apple Health Data
ChatGPT’s latest iPhone update has hinted at an upcoming Apple Health connector, that could let the AI tap into sleep, activity, diet, and wellness data for personalized responses (via MacRumors).

Developers analysing the app’s code noted that the file name associated with the hidden image points directly to Apple Health, implying that linking the two services may become a native feature. At present, the functionality remains disabled.
It is unclear when or if OpenAI will officially launch the connector for public use. According to the report, if enabled, the integration would appear under the ChatGPT settings menu, in an Apps & Connectors section, the same place where ChatGPT can already link to services such as code repositories, cloud storage, and productivity platforms.
Back in 2024, Apple announced that ChatGPT would be integrated into its system-wide AI framework known as Apple Intelligence. Through that integration, users gained access to features like AI-powered writing tools, smart image generation, and enhanced Siri capabilities without switching apps.
In those early stages, privacy protections were highlighted by both companies. Apple has stated that when ChatGPT is used within Apple Intelligence, user requests are not stored by OpenAI, and users’ IP addresses remain obscured unless they explicitly log in to their ChatGPT account.
If the ChatGPT–Apple Health connector becomes real, the timing could align well with Apple’s future health ambitions. The company is reportedly preparing to launch a premium health service dubbed Apple Health+ in 2026. That service is expected to offer wellness coaching, nutritional guidance, personalized health recommendations, and possibly integration with other health apps and devices.

For now the “Apple Health connector” remains speculative. The code reference in ChatGPT’s iPhone app is the strongest signal to date that such an integration is under development.
