Google Reveals Top 10 Games as Part of its ‘Year of Search 2025’

Google has revealed its Year in Search, highlighting various search trends made throughout 2025. As part of the latest wrap-up, Google has revealed the top 10 trending games searched during the year.
Google’s Year in Search covers everything from movies to TV, books, podcasts, sports, and even gaming. While some results may not be surprising, like DtMF by Bad Bunny being the top song lyrics searched or the FIFA World Cup being the #1 Sports event searched this year, some of the top searched games are pretty surprising. This year, despite many popular games like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, and Blue Prince, the trending game was Arc Raiders. This extraction shooter has taken the world by storm since its release on October 30th.
Google has broken it all down and provided a year-to-read list of its Year in Search results. Here are the top 10 trending games searched for in 2025:
- Arc Raiders
- Battlefield 6
- Strands
- Split Fiction
- Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
- Path of Exile 2
- Grand Theft Auto 6
- Pokemon Legends Z-A
- Minecraft
- Roblox
Google Year in Search identifies search terms that saw the highest increase in traffic between January 1, 2025 and November 25, 2025. Google then compares these metrics to the same period in 2024 to refine and determine the list. Rather than measure spikes in search, Google states it can identify search trends more efficiently than by looking at the total number of searches. Therefore, the above list isn’t based on “most searched” terms.
