Wealthsimple Changes DragonPass Access in 2026: What You Need to Know

Are you currently getting DragonPass lounge perks from Toronto fintech Wealthsimple? It now looks like things are about to change.
An iPhone in Canada reader shared an email from Wealthsimple received yesterday announcing changes to how Generation clients will access their 10 free annual DragonPass lounge passes. The benefit isn’t disappearing, but starting January 8, 2026, the process to get those passes will work differently.
According to the email, clients “will still be able to enjoy 10 free DragonPass lounge passes per year — only the steps to claim them will look a little different.”
Wealthsimple says the passes will now come from two sources: four passes by redeeming DragonPass as a Milestone reward, and six passes by signing up for the Visa Airport Companion program with the Wealthsimple Visa Infinite Privilege card.
The company says the change is meant to streamline how travel perks are delivered. “We continually refine our benefits to ensure we’re delivering the greatest value to clients,” the email stated. “We’re simplifying how we offer travel perks by consolidating DragonPass access through the Wealthsimple credit card.”
The standalone 10-pass annual benefit for Generation clients will end on January 8. Wealthsimple notes that “your existing DragonPass lounge visits will remain yours to use until they expire,” but once they do, “these passes will not auto-renew.”
Clients with an available Milestone reward can still redeem it for four DragonPass passes, and those who already selected DragonPass as their reward won’t see any changes. Wealthsimple also pointed clients to instructions on how to enroll in the Visa Airport Companion program if they haven’t done so yet.
