Netflix Viewers Are Obsessed With This New Christmas Movie

Netflix december titles.

Netflix’s holiday lineup is already paying off, with My Secret Santa racing to the top of the charts while Stranger Things continues to dominate the platform once again.

The Christmas rom-com My Secret Santa landed at No. 1 on Netflix’s English film list, pulling in 18.1 million views last week. The movie follows a struggling single mom who secretly takes a job dressed as Santa at a ski resort to help pay for her daughter’s snowboarding lessons. It joins Netflix’s growing list of seasonal holiday hits.

On the TV side, Stranger Things 5 held onto the No. 1 spot on the English TV list with 23.6 million views. Netflix says the show is still breaking records, with all five seasons appearing in the Top 10 at the same time for a second straight week. Fans continue to binge the first half of the final season while waiting for Volume 2, which arrives on Christmas Day, followed by the series finale on New Year’s Eve.

Other holiday titles also performed well. Jingle Bell Heist took No. 2 on the English film list with 10.4 million views, while comedian Matt Rife Unwrapped: A Christmas Crowdwork Special cracked the English TV Top 10.

Outside of holiday fare, the four-part documentary Sean Combs: The Reckoning debuted at No. 2 on the English TV list with 21.8 million views, drawing attention for its behind-the-scenes look at the hip-hop mogul ahead of his 2024 arrest. Meanwhile, the new Western drama The Abandons debuted at No. 4 with 7.3 million views.

Internationally, Troll 2 smashed its way to No. 1 on the non-English film list with 29.3 million views, prompting viewers to revisit the original Troll, which returned to the charts at No. 2. On the non-English TV side, Korean series Dynamite Kiss remained at No. 1, while thriller The Price of Confession debuted close behind.

Netflix also noted that several Top 10 titles picked up major awards buzz, including KPop Demon Hunters, Jay Kelly, Frankenstein, and The Beast in Me, all of which earned Golden Globe or Critics Choice nominations.
