BLUETTI Elite 30 V2 Review: Small, Light, and Surprisingly Useful

BLUETTI recently sent us its new Elite 30 V2 in the Light Sand Grey colour, and after spending some time with it, this is one of those power stations that just quietly makes sense. It’s small, light, and easy to carry around, weighing just under 10 pounds (you could also use this thing as a weight for your workouts), which means it doesn’t feel like a chore to move when you actually need it. This is the kind of portable backup battery you grab when there’s no outlet nearby and you still want things to work.

Even though it’s compact, the Elite 30 V2 has more power than you might expect. It puts out 600W of continuous power with up to 1,500W of lifting power, so it’s not just for phones. You can run lights, charge laptops, power small appliances, and keep multiple devices going at the same time. The 140W USB-C port is especially useful for quickly charging a laptop or tablet without dragging along extra chargers.

There’s a nice carrying handle on the back so you can easily pick this thing up without dropping it:

One of our favourite real-world uses was at our church, where we used the Elite 30 V2 to power a Christmas tree and its lights. Instead of worrying about outlets or running extension cords across the floor, we could put the tree exactly where we wanted it. The power station ran quietly in the background and let the tree and lights be placed anywhere, completely free from needing a plug. It’s a small thing, but it shows how useful a portable battery like this can be in everyday situations.

The Elite 30 V2 also doubles as a UPS, with a switchover time of under 10 milliseconds, so if the power cuts out, connected devices don’t even notice. That makes it handy for home setups, networking gear, or anything you don’t want shutting off suddenly. It’s also impressively quiet under light loads and designed to sip power when it’s just sitting there on standby.

Overall, the BLUETTI Elite 30 V2 feels like a practical, well-thought-out portable power station. It’s light enough to carry, powerful enough for real use, and flexible enough to be useful at home, on the road, or in shared spaces. If you’re looking for an easy way to bring power with you when plugs aren’t available, this is one to consider. Others comparable include the likes of the Anker SOLIX C300 and EcoFlow River 2.
