Netflix’s FIFA Game Is Coming in 2026 — Here’s What We Know

Netflix is adding a new FIFA soccer game to its mobile games lineup ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The streaming company says the game will launch in summer 2026, timed with the World Cup, and will be available exclusively through Netflix Games. Anyone with a Netflix subscription will be able to play it at no extra cost using their phone, either solo or online with friends.
The game is being developed and published by Delphi Interactive and is described as a simplified football simulation designed to be easy to pick up rather than a complex console-style title. Netflix says the goal is to make something that works well on mobile and appeals to casual players, not just hardcore soccer fans.
“The FIFA World Cup is going to be the cultural event of 2026, and now fans will be able to celebrate their fandom by bringing the game right into their living rooms,” said Alain Tascan, Netflix’s president of games. “We want to bring football back to its roots with something everyone can play with just the touch of a button.”
FIFA president Gianni Infantino said the partnership is part of the organization’s push to expand how fans interact with the sport digitally. “It will be available for free to Netflix members and is a great historic step for FIFA,” he said.
Netflix also says the game will be playable on select TVs in some countries, using a phone as a controller, similar to how its existing TV-based games work. A wider rollout is planned over time.
EA Sports and FIFA ended their 30-year partnership in 2022 after failing to agree on licensing fees, with FIFA 23 being the final game under the FIFA name; EA rebranded its soccer series as EA Sports FC, releasing FC 24, 25, and 26.
Netflix did not share gameplay footage or detailed features, and says more information about the FIFA game will be revealed in 2026.
There’s huge hype ahead of the World Cup next year, especially in Canada as it’s the first time the men’s tournament will be hosted here. The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be hosted in Toronto and Vancouver. Toronto’s BMO Field will stage six matches, including Canada’s opening game, while Vancouver’s BC Place will host seven matches across various stages of the tournament. The U.S. and Mexico are also hosting matches for the tournament as well.
