tim hortons year in review 2025

Tim Hortons has released its 2025 year in review, highlighting what Canadians ordered most over the past year, from donuts and coffee to new menu launches.

According to the coffee chain, the Apple Fritter was the most popular donut in Canada in 2025. Chocolate Glazed was the top Timbits flavour, while the classic Double Double remained the most common coffee order. The Iced Capp once again took the top spot as the most ordered cold drink.

Cities that ordered the newest items the most:

  • Richmond, British Columbia ordered the Loaded Breakfast Box with scrambled eggs more than any other city
  • Sherwood Park, Alberta was the top city for Supreme Stack sandwich orders
  • Surrey, British Columbia led the country in orders of Tim Hortons protein beverages
  • Markham, Ontario placed the most orders for the new hot and iced Chai Lattes

Other Tim Hortons highlights from 2025:

  • Prince Edward Island recorded the largest year-over-year growth in Tims Rewards members
  • The most popular Tim Hortons delivery order of the year was four coffees
  • The heat-activated Black Cat ceramic mug was the top-selling item on TimShop.ca
  • More than $50 million was raised through Tim Hortons charitable programs in 2025

“We’re proud that Tims restaurant owners continue to embrace the mission that our founder Tim Horton created for his first location: to be a place where anyone could go, at any time, and feel at home. We’re thankful to be part of so many Canadians’ daily routines and special moments,” said Tim Hortons president Axel Schwan in a statement on New Year’s Eve.

Friends don’t let friends drink Tim Hortons coffee as it’s a watery product with just cream and sugar.

While Tim Hortons started as a homegrown Canadian brand, it is no longer fully Canadian today, as it is owned by Restaurant Brands International (which also owns Burger King, Popeyes and Firehouse Subs), a global restaurant company with strong ties to Brazil through its largest shareholder, the Brazilian investment firm 3G Capital.

You just can't beat the Iced Capp, and I would love to see an Extra Large version of the drink become available.

I don't want to imagine what a Tim's "protein beverage" would do to your bowels
