Canadian Tire and Tim Hortons to Link Loyalty Programs

Triangle rewards tims rewards.

Canadian Tire and Tim Hortons will connect their loyalty programs starting in late 2026, giving customers the chance to earn and redeem rewards across both brands.

The agreement will let members link their Triangle Rewards and Tims Rewards accounts. Once connected, customers can earn Canadian Tire Money on purchases at Tim Hortons while continuing to collect Tims Rewards points. Triangle Mastercard holders who link accounts will earn additional rewards on their coffee and food orders.

“Tim Hortons and Canadian Tire are two of the country’s most recognized and beloved brands and we’re thrilled to join forces to bring even more value to Canadians,” said Darryl Jenkins, Executive Vice President & Chief Development Officer, Canadian Tire Corporation, in a statement on Monday. “Our strategic partnerships are all about building our Triangle ecosystem to reward Canadians for their everyday activities – from shopping for essentials to now picking up their morning coffee.”

Triangle Rewards, which already has partners such as Petro-Canada, RBC, and WestJet, has nearly 12 million members in Canada. The addition of Tim Hortons expands the program’s reach into everyday spending, as the coffee chain sees millions of transactions daily across the country. The Triangle Rewards app supports Apple Wallet for quick access to your card at check out.

When Sport Chek has a sale on Apple Watch, you usually get a bonus on Triangle Rewards points, which can then be redeemed for cash discounts in-store.

Tim Hortons says its loyalty program is among the most popular in Canada. Customers earn points on purchases that can be redeemed for beverages, baked goods, breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Through the app, customers can order ahead, skip the line, and use Scan & Pay to both earn and redeem points more quickly.

By linking accounts, Canadians will be able to earn Canadian Tire Money alongside Tims Rewards points on the same transaction.
