Fido is offering a hidden $28 plan with 60GB of data: How to find it
Fido has quietly launched a high-value mobile plan for existing customers that offers 60GB of data for just $28 per month. The deal was first spotted by users on the RFD and saves you 43% off the regular price of $49/month (after auto pay of course). It’s worth noting the $49/60GB plan on the Fido site now includes roaming in the U.S. and Mexico.
Nonetheless, this promo includes unlimited Canada-wide calling and texting along with 5G network access at speeds up to 150Mbps. If you’re trying to reduce your monthly phone bill, this offer will get you to below $30 per month if you are eligible.
How to find the offer
Since this is a targeted promo it is not being advertised on the main Fido website. Current customers are finding the deal by logging into their Fido account and checking the “Offers” section. If it doesn’t appear there immediately users suggest selecting the “change plan” button and scrolling to the very bottom of the list to see if the $28 option is hidden under a “show more” tab.
The offer is not available to everyone
While many users have successfully switched multiple lines to the cheaper rate the offer is not available to everyone. Some customers reported only seeing plans starting at $49 while others in Quebec noted they did not see the discount at all. There is also a potential catch regarding mobile hotspots. Some users noted a warning that tethering might cost an extra $5 per month though early reports from those who switched suggest the feature is still working without the added fee for now.
Many Fido customers reported difficulties logging into the desktop website to change their plans. If the page hangs or fails to load you should try using the official Fido mobile app or disabling ad-blockers on your browser.
Alrighty–are you seeing this $28/60GB offer in your Fido account right now?

“The offer is not available to everyone”
Yeah no kidding…. These are anecdotal articles where a handful of people get the deal…
