Bell Internet Bills Going Up Again: What to Know About the $6 Hike
Bell is set to raise monthly rates for many internet customers once again, with a $6 per month increase scheduled to take effect on March 1, 2026.
The price hike has sparked frustration among subscribers who have noticed the “Important message” buried on their latest billing statements. For many, this marks the second or third increase in less than a year, as Bell continues a pattern of regular price adjustments to its home and wireless services.
One Bell customer shared their bill on Reddit, noting that their 1.5 Gbps fibre plan will jump to $80 per month after the hike. “These continual small hikes every quarter really start to add up,” the user wrote, adding that calling the company’s loyalty department resulted in little help.
The notice on customer bills states that the increase supports continued investment in network reliability and demand. However, the timing follows a similar $6 increase that many customers saw just last month in February.
So what can you do? Some users suggest switching to smaller providers or flanker brands like Ebox (still owned by Bell), while others recommend threatening to cancel to reach “winback” teams that offer unadvertised discounts.
The $6 increase will be applied automatically to the monthly rate of affected internet plans starting next month.
One user in the thread claimed they were seeing a similar increase from Rogers on their internet bill, to the tune of $7/month, but no screenshot of the change was shared, so it’s hard to verify.
You should check your Bell internet statement and let us know in the comments if you’re seeing a a $6 price increase coming in March.
