Spotify Hits 751 Million Monthly Active Users

Spotify has announced that it has hit 751 million monthly active users during its Q4 2025 earnings report. The company confirms that it saw a total rise of 11 percent when compared to the year prior.

The company reports that it exhibited a 10 percent increase year-over-year in Premium subscribers. Through the latest Q4 2025 report, Spotify saw Premium membership increase from 263 million to 290 million. It’s said that Europe is the company’s largest audience for paid Premium memberships, accounting for 36 percent of its total. North America comes in second with 25 percent.

During 2025, Spotify hit some major milestones. The company reports that it paid out more than $11 billion to the music industry. This was the largest annual payout to artists and music creators from “any retailer in history,” according to the company. Spotify also reports to have helped artists generate more than $1 billion in ticket sales by connecting fans with local live shows via ticketing partners within the app.

Music video support also rolled out in beta to Premium members in Canada and the US in 2025. The company also expanded its Spotify Partner Program to Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Iceland.

“We closed out what we dubbed as the Year of Accelerated Execution with another solid quarter, delivering a strong finish to 2025, Alex Norström, Co-CEO of Spotify, says. “In Q4, we met or exceeded guidance across all key metrics. We marked our highest quarter ever for MAU net additions. It’s incredible to think that we now serve over three-quarters of a billion people around the world.”

The company also reports that its annual Spotify Wrapped, which dropped in December, saw the largest engagement seen by Spotify. According to the company, Spotify Wrapped had 300 million engaged users and 630 million shares globally.
