Bell Says Crave Just Hit Its Biggest Day Ever for Live Streaming

The Seattle Seahawks’ 29-13 victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX was a massive draw for Canadian audiences, attracting nearly 16 million unique viewers.

According to preliminary data from Numeris, the NFL championship game on Sunday, February 8, saw an average audience of 6.8 million viewers across TSN, CTV, RDS, and Crave. The broadcast reached its highest point during the halftime show featuring Bad Bunny, Lady Gaga, and Ricky Martin (come on!), which peaked at 9.6 million viewers at 8:23 p.m. ET.

The game marked a historic milestone for Bell Media’s streaming service Crave, which saw its biggest day ever for live streaming. Total hours viewed on the platform were five times higher than any previous record. Overall, live streaming across all platforms increased by 11% compared to last year’s Super Bowl.

Last year, the Super Bowl did not stream on Crave as it was only available on TSN and CTV (and DAZN). It’s no surprise that Crave hit a new live streaming record this year since the Super Bowl was added to the mix.

On social media, content from TSN generated more than 150 million impressions across YouTube, TikTok, X, Facebook, and Instagram.

Super Bowl LX was the most-watched program of the day, helping CTV rank as the top network in Canada for Sunday. As the exclusive television partner of the NFL in Canada, Bell Media platforms provided full coverage of the event from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
