PlayStation State of Play 2026: Full List of PS5 Games and Release Dates

Sony’s first State of Play of 2026 was a massive one, running over 60 minutes and featuring everything from shadow dropped games to long-awaited remakes.

The highlight for many was the return of the God of War franchise in two different ways. Sony Santa Monica officially announced a God of War Greek Trilogy Remake for the PS5. Even more surprising was the shadow drop of God of War: Sons of Sparta, a side-scrolling action game that is available to download and play right now.

Third-party partners also had a major presence, too. Capcom shared new footage of Resident Evil Requiem, confirming that Sherry Birkin will join Leon S. Kennedy in the upcoming horror title. Konami also made waves by announcing that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will finally leave the PS3 as part of the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 this summer.
