PlayStation has announced its first State of Play for 2026. The live-streamed presentation is taking place on Thursday, February 12th at 5 PM ET/2 PM PT.
Announced via the PlayStation Blog, the company states that the State of Play will be over an hour long, making its runtime exceed that of the typical State of Play live streams. The event will cover “news, gameplay updates, and announcements” from global teams.
PlayStation is refraining from announcing what will be shown during the State of Play, however. Instead, the blog post goes on to note that fans can expect to hear from “eye-catching third-party and indie games headed to PS5, along with the latest from teams at PlayStation Studios.”
Looking ahead in 2026, PlayStation’s first-party lineup is pretty stacked. Up next, we have Marathon, which arrives on March 5th. Saros, the highly anticipated title from Housemarque, is slated to release on April 30th. We’re also expected MLB the Show 26 and Marvel’s Wolverine later this year as well. Players are also biding their time until Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls releases as well.
PlayStation is also supporting a ton of high-profile third-party games this year as well. This includes the likes of 007 First Light, Crimson Desert, Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, Life is Strange: Reunion, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, Phantom Blade Zero, Pragmata and more.
State of Play broadcasts will be available on PlayStation’s official YouTube channel as well as on Twitch.
