Fido vs Virgin Plus vs Koodo Plans: What’s New in March 2026

Every month we take a closer look at the cellphone plans from flanker brands Fido, Virgin Plus and Koodo (alongside their parent companies Rogers, Telus and Bell) to observe the changes we’re seeing compared to the previous month.

It’s always interesting to track what carriers are doing and thinking throughout the year when it comes to their wireless pricing. Let’s get started, shall we? Here are bring your own device plans below after autopay discounts…

Fido

  • $35/20GB
  • $40/60GB Canada-US voice/text
  • $49/60GB Canada-US-Mexico talk/text/data
  • $55/80GB
  • $55/100GB
  • $80/10GB (clearly an error)

Gone is last month’s $45/10GB plan.

Virgin Plus

  • $35/20GB
  • $40/60GB
  • $49/60GB Canada-US-Mexico
  • $55/100GB (was 60GB)

This month Virgin Plus has more than just two plans for bring your own device. Like Fido, there’s free international calling to 27 countries.

Koodo

  • $35/20GB
  • $40/60GB
  • $50/60GB Canada-US-Mexico
  • $50/80GB
  • $55/100GB

Last month, Koodo had a 25% off discount across all plans. That is over and its plans in March now align with Virgin Plus and Fido.

Will we ever see flanker brands offer global roaming data? Or is that reserved for flagship parent companies to get people to pay for daily roaming charges?

Right now, Freedom Mobile has a $40/250GB global roaming plan (with 50GB monthly roaming data) that beats Rogers, Telus, Bell and their flanker brands. If you have decent Freedom Mobile reception in your area, this is a good plan for those that travel frequently.
