Dredge+ and Unpacking+ Join Apple Arcade in April 2026

Apple has just shared its plans for Apple Arcade in April 2026, and it looks like a big month for fans of indie games. The service is adding three new titles on April 2, including two of the most celebrated releases of recent years.

The headliner for the month is Dredge+, which Apple is bringing over as a complete edition. If you are not familiar with the original, it is a fishing adventure with a dark twist. You play as a captain of a trawler exploring a series of remote islands. While the day starts out normal, things get eerie once the sun goes down.

he Apple Arcade version includes the base game plus all previously released DLC content, such as The Iron Rig and The Pale Reach. It even comes with a custom fishing rod for your boat.

Joining the lineup is Unpacking+, a game that has won several awards for its relaxing gameplay and storytelling. It is a zen-style puzzle game where you simply unpack boxes and place items in a new home. While that sounds simple, the game tells a deep story about a character’s life through the objects they keep as they move from house to house over many years. It is widely considered one of the best “cozy” games ever made.

For families, Apple is also adding My Very Hungry Caterpillar+. Based on the famous children’s book by Eric Carle, this game lets players look after their own caterpillar. You can feed it, play with it, and eventually watch it turn into a butterfly. It is designed to be a safe and interactive experience for younger players and their parents to enjoy together.

Beyond the new games, Apple is also rolling out some interesting updates. On March 19, Disney SpellStruck will get a massive Star Wars update. This will include new maps based on “The Empire Strikes Back” and allow players to unlock iconic characters like Darth Vader and Lando Calrissian.

Additionally, on April 9, Puyo Puyo Puzzle Pop will celebrate its 35th anniversary with a new mode called Puyo Puyo Garden, where players can grow and battle their own Puyo creatures.
