Telus-owned Public Mobile has brought back promo plans again, that were launched last time in response to Freedom Mobile’s global roaming plan promo at $40/250GB.
Now, we are seeing a “flash sale” from Public Mobile, offering up to 250GB data for $50, but with roaming only limited to the U.S. and Mexico. This comes as Freedom Mobile has brought back its $40/250GB roaming plan yet again.
Here are Public Mobile’s plans as of today, March 13:
To nobody’s surprise, the promo 5G plans will end on March 16, the same day Freedom Mobile’s roaming plan promo ends. Who would have thought?
This ‘price war’ if you want to call it comes as kids kick off spring break in B.C., which likely will include some travel plans for some.
Public Mobile needs Wi-Fi calling and international roaming if it wants to compete with Freedom Mobile, but who knows if that will ever come.

Public needs some roaming plans to be competitive
