Apple confirmed today that its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will take place from June 8 to June 12, 2026. The event will remain mainly online, though the company is hosting a small in-person gathering at its Apple Park headquarters on the opening day for selected students and developers.
As for what to expect? Apple stated that the week will spotlight significant updates across all its platforms, specifically mentioning new artificial intelligence advancements and developer tools. Give us the AI Siri already, Apple.
“WWDC is one of the most exciting times for us at Apple because it’s a chance for our incredible global developer community to come together for an electrifying week that celebrates technology, innovation, and collaboration,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations. “We can’t wait to see many of you online and in person for what is sure to be one of our best WWDC events yet.”
The event begins on Monday, June 8, with the WWDC keynote presentation. Throughout the rest of the week, Apple will release over 100 technical video sessions and host digital labs to help developers integrate new features into their apps. The entire program will be streamed through the Apple Developer app, the company’s website, and YouTube.
Apple also noted that winners of its Swift Student Challenge will be notified this Thursday. A group of 50 Distinguished Winners will be invited to Cupertino for a three-day visit, while other winners will be eligible to attend the June 8 kickoff event in person.
