Freedom Mobile’s $35 Global Roaming Plan Just Got a Huge Data Increase

Freedom Mobile continues to tweak its plans and today it has bumped up data on its entry $35 5G plan, now with 80GB of data instead of 10GB and extra Roam Beyond data.

Here are the latest Freedom Mobile plans as of March 27, 2026:

  • $35/80GB (was 10GB) + 5GB (was 1GB) Roam Beyond
  • $40/250GB + 50GB Roam Beyond
  • $50/150GB + 20GB Roam Beyond
  • $60/200GB + 30GB Roam Beyond

As you can see the $35 plan has data bumped up to 80GB and now has 5GB of Roam Beyond data. Looking at the price points, it’s still funnelling customers to pay $5 more to get the promo $40/250GB plan with 50GB of monthly global roaming data.

But for existing customers on a $35 plan, you may want to call or talk to chat to change over to this newest plan, if it’s better that what you currently have.

Tried signing up for this $35 plan today from Public Mobile. I kept running into system errors at various stages of the process. Finally got to the final “submit order” stage and it froze with no confirmation. I contacted Freedom via chat and they could not confirm either way whether my order had gone through but could see evidence of each attempt claiming I had created three accounts under the same email! 40 mins and 3 agents later I finally get someone who confirms that it didn’t go through. I then receive an email telling me the “order failed” but saying my credit card would still be charged for the esim and that I would need to ask for a credit via my account which their system never managed to actually create! If this is representative of the experience with Freedom I dodged a bullet. I’ll just stick with Public Mobile and keep using Airlo when I travel.
