Rogers vs Telus vs Bell vs Freedom: Best Cellphone Plans April 2026
April is here and wireless prices continue to change from Rogers, Telus, Bell and Freedom Mobile. Let’s take a look at the changes compared to March, which saw the end of Q1 and some pretty intense promo plans from flanker brands.
Rogers
- $60/100GB (was $55)
- $70/175GB (was $65) Canada-US
- $90/250GB (was $85) Global (64 destinations)
Compared to the beginning of March, prices from Rogers have increased by $5 per month.
Telus
- $55/100GB
- $75/175GB (was $65) Canada-US
- $85/250GB (no change) Global
- $105/unlimited (no change) 5G+ data
Looking at plans from Telus, the 175GB Canada-US plan has increased by $10 but all other plans remained the same.
Bell
- $55/100GB
- $65/175GB Canada-US
- $85/250GB Global (65 destinations)
Prices from Bell have remained the same with no price changes.
Freedom Mobile (All Canada-US-Mexico)
- $35/25GB (was 10GB) + 1GB Roam Beyond
- $40/100GB (was 60GB) + 5GB Roam Beyond
- $50/175GB (was 150GB) + 10GB Roam Beyond
- $60/250GB (was $70/200GB) + 20GB Roam Beyond
Last month’s $40/60GB and $70/250GB plans have been eliminated. Roam Beyond amounts of 30GB and 50GB are gone from high-end plans and only four offerings remain.
As for Freedom, right now promos are still ongoing until April 7 and all plans include Roam Beyond talk, text and data to 120 destinations. There’s more data compared to March.
Freedom put a lot of pressure on Rogers, Telus and Bell with its promo $40/250GB global plan with 50GB of Roam Beyond data (it has since expired), which we may see come back sometime in the future.

Fizz?
Fizz works great. Even in the states.
Yeah, not sure why Fizz isn’t on this list. Great value, which is why I switched to it.
I just got 175GB unlimited Can, US and Mexico for $30 through Telus.
whats the trick?
It was a corporate offer
I call bullshit
I ditched Public Mobile for Freedom’s $40/250/50 plan at the end of March. So far it’s decent, but haven’t tried roaming outside of Freedom yet.
It works well outside . Tested in India, Germany, U.K.
It’s great to see Freedom advance & put pressure on the competition …. For those who VaCa south it’s a deal … Bell Telus want 12~17$ a day
Got the Koodo for $27.50 + tax, 5G 80GB/US-Mexico talk/text & 3days roaming free + unlimited talk/text international chosen 12 countries included, but that was till March 31 2026. So far not bad, compared to previous Virgin+….
Freedom is Rogers. I was informed of this 2 years ago from a company that has multiple providers. Why their prices are lower I don’t know.
Freedom is Quebecor. Rogers sold it in 2022
