The official Kickstarter launch is set for April 16, but the pre-launch phase begins on Wednesday, April 7, and that’s when pricing will be revealed. Traditional backup batteries are often too bulky for urban apartments or modern kitchens. FridgePower features a breakthrough design that is only 2.95 inches (75mm) thin. This allows it to slide into narrow gaps beside a refrigerator, sit neatly on top, or be wall-mounted. It is completely fume-free and quiet, making it a seamless addition to condos and rental properties.
There is no need for expensive electricians or complex rewiring. The system is entirely DIY-friendly: you simply plug the FridgePower unit into a wall outlet and then plug your refrigerator into the unit. With a 10ms UPS switchover time, the battery kicks in faster than a blink of an eye when a blackout strikes, preventing compressor stalls and keeping raw meats, dairy, and insulin at safe temperatures.
Efficiency is a major focus for this unit. It features an ultra-low 3W to 4W idle power consumption, which is roughly 70% more efficient than standard power stations. This ensures that the battery isn’t wasting energy just staying “on,” preserving every possible watt for your appliances.
While the base unit offers 2,016Wh of capacity, the modular design allows you to scale up to 8kWh by adding three BlueCell 200 expansion batteries. This can extend your backup from 21 hours to multiple days of security.
The unit integrates with the BLUETTI app, providing Extreme Weather Alerts. The system monitors local forecasts and can automatically trigger a full recharge ahead of a predicted storm. For at-a-glance monitoring, an optional magnetic screen can be attached to the fridge door to show real-time energy data.
