The core of the Pulsing Aura expansion revolves around high-stakes training and combat. The official booster pack artwork features Mega Lucario and Mega Sceptile, signaling their arrival as heavy hitters in the digital card game. Players can expect to hunt for several powerful new cards, specifically Mega Lucario ex, Mega Sceptile ex, and Vaporeon ex.

To support these new additions, the expansion includes a variety of Trainer cards specifically tailored to boost Fighting-type Pokémon. This thematic focus suggests that decks built around Lucario will see a major power spike in the coming weeks.

Beyond new characters, Pulsing Aura introduces a fresh visual upgrade for collectors: the Gold Frame. This new flair type is designed for cards with rarity levels of one, two, or three diamonds.

The system is designed to reward long-term players and those who frequently open packs. You will automatically receive a gold frame for a card once you collect 10 duplicates of it. This system is retroactive, meaning any duplicates you have already amassed since the game launched will count toward your total immediately.

The momentum continues through May with a Mega Heracross ex drop event and a special Wonder Pick event. During the latter, players can find promo cards for Treecko and Gallade in their Wonder Pick feeds. Event shop tickets will also be available, allowing you to pick up specific promo cards directly from the in-game shop.
